It’s unfortunate the DJ has such a big role in your wedding day, because Mike is what ruined our day for us. He is a nice man when you meet him, but he should not be in this profession. He played the wrong song for my mom to walk down the aisle to, he didn’t started my bride entrance song into the ceremony in the middle of my wedding party walking down the aisle, he interrupted the officiant with our recessional song TWICE in the middle of our ceremony, he stopped playing our recessional song when we were in the middle of the aisle walking out (very awkward), he introduced my husband and I and “Mr. and Mrs. *husband’s last name*” after I asked him not to, since I’m not taking my husbands last name, he gave us the microphone and announced that my husband and I wanted to give a speech before dinner (after we told him we did NOT want that because we didn’t want to be put on the spot), he played NBA (?) sports intro music for my wedding party entrance, which was not talked about, he played songs about breaking up, and after bringing all this up to his attention, he gave us money back ONLY for the mother of the bride song mistake. He never apologized, he emailed back extremely unprofessionally and got defensive and made excuses that were just lies, because I have email proof from him backing up my side. He took absolutely no accountability for the countless mistakes he made. DO NOT HIRE THIS DJ!!!!!!!!! I wanted to go with the cheapest option to save money, and I want to say you get what you paid for, but in this case, I got LESS than what I paid for. A family member using Spotify would’ve done a better job than him.

We had a very positive experience with Mike and Alexxus Entertainment. Mike is very personable and easy to work with. He provided a lot of information and tips leading to a great experience for our wedding ceremony and reception. He accommodated all our requests and gave us a very positive experience for our choice of entertainment options for our celebration. Highly recommend Alexxus Entertainment. Very professional.

We had one heck of a dance party with Mike as our wedding DJ! The floor was packed the whole night, and when folks tried to go grab a breather and a drink, he’d just play a crowd pleaser and pull those dehydrated dancers right back out! Good variety of hits from all decades to get every age on the floor from my grandma, to our college friends, to our nephew. Mike also has a great wedding planning program. He does an in person meeting to get the feel for your vibe and talk about your must hear and absolutely not songs. He takes requests but only if they fit in with your style. He also goes over your timeline and ensures things like toasts and cake cutting run smoothly. Before he announces an event, he rounds up your other vendors like photographer and videographer so that no one misses an important moment. Online you can then at your own leisure add songs to the play list. In all honesty I only added like 10. Mike did the rest and it was perfect!

Mike was excellent at communicating and made sure to ask what was most important to us on our big day. He also had unique ideas that helped make our reception even more fun (for example a fun new way to do a bouquet toss). The dance floor was full all night, and our guests had a blast! Mike was absolutely fantastic! We hired Alexxus Entertainment for our reception and he was very professional. He knew when to play which songs to keep everyone on the dance floor. Mike will work with you to help plan every step of the music selection process from instrumental music during dinner, the Bridal party entrance, any special dances, and so much more! The online planning system made it so easy to pick which songs you really wanted played and, better yet, which ones you definitely did not want to be played. It was also a huge convenience to pay all of our bills through the online planning website. Another bonus is that Alexxus Entertainment knows that couples are busy getting ready for the big day, so the reminder emails every so often were a big help for making sure things didn't get missed. Thank you Mike with Alexxus Entertainment for making our wedding day so special and easy to plan!

Mike was very easy to work with and always friendly and pleasant in all our interactions. The planning tool he has for music was such a nice feature and easy to use to communicate what we wanted played and when. He also had great suggestions of unique ideas to add a personal touch. We originally didn’t plan to do a dance and we’re just going to do music for our ceremony and cocktail hour but decided to add him to our reception and so glad we did. He kept things moving and on schedule and the dance floor was always full the entire night. Everyone had a blast and our reception was so much fun thanks to Mike and Alexxus Entertainment.

Mike was an absolute joy to plan our wedding with. He was so helpful and attentive whenever we had any questions. His planning portal was a fantastic tool to keep us on track and he helped send us playlists for ideas of entrance music for both the ceremony and reception. He read the room well and played the perfect mix to keep our guests engaged all night and out on the dance floor. 10/10 would recommend Mike and his company for any wedding / event!
