DJ MO -Although DJ Cool Mo has performed in several venues throughout Hampton Roads as a solo dj for over 25 years, he officially formed New World DJs in June 2000. We specialize in supplying musical entertainment at wedding receptions , corporate events, parties, night clubs etc. We carry a variety of music which includes Rhythm and Blues, Soul Classics, Reggae, Pop, Soft Rock, Latin, and Top 40. DJ Cool Mo. I began training as a disc jockey in the mid 90’s along with my uncle, the legendary “Shag Nasty.” He was a local, well respected DJ during this time period. We entertained at venues such as the Norfolk Scope, Hampton Coliseum, Big Apple, Legion Hall, and the Peninsula Skating Center to name a few. We competed and were victorious in many Battle of the Djs competitions. In the year 2000, I began my own mobile DJ business - NEW WORLD DJS. Performing at local night clubs such as The VA House of Comedy, Club Classics, Ridleys, Varsity Club, Long Shoreman Hall,and the Harbor Club. New World DJs specializes in supplying musical entertainment at wedding receptions, corporate events, private parties, night clubs etc. We specialize in Rhythm & Blues, Soul Classics, Reggae, and Hip Hop. We’ve participated in local DJ contests on the best station for R&B and Hip Hop - WOWI 103 Jamz. Additionally, we play Top 40, Country, Pop, and Soft Rock. Recently, New World DJs has appealed to the Latin audience. We have ventured into Reggaeton, Merengue, and Salsa. We’ve made several guest appearances ..or AM 1050 in Norfolk, VA.
