“DJ Shon G” Bio The skills of the legendary dj’s like Kool Herc and Red Alert fascinated Shon G as he watched videos and films of them captivate the crowd. The feeling he felt watching them could not compare to the feeling he feels as he amazes his own crowd with each event. At the young age of 15, he knew that this is a feeling that he never wanted to end. As he watched and admired the mixing, scratching and blending skills of the legends and he evolved his style of mixing and blending to make his live performances a show to remember. He knew that he had to build his buzz to build his following so he started with street promotions and mix tapes. He started with house parties, picnics, barbecues and widely recognized community activities as well as other functions in the public and private sector. His outgoing personality and dj skills helped him to accelerate in his dj career. Shon G loves many different genres of music which allows him to feel comfortable rocking any type of crowd that needs a dj. He was raised on what he calls “Real Music”, the music that gives you something to think about and that you still hear after the music has stopped. Throughout is dj career he believes that it is his responsibility to give back to the community thru his god-given gift of being a dj. DJ Shon G is involved with Still Water Collective a citywide network of young scribes and spoken word artist that allows teens across the city to share prose, poetry, hip hop and life. DJ Shon G is not new to California but just returning back after being away for a few years and bringing the midwest flavor back. Dj Shon G was a on-air personality with 860 WNOV in Milwaukee, Wisconsin co-hosting an evening slot with another on air personality from 6-9 pm and hosting his own weekend show Saturdays from 5-8 pm called “The Weekendz with Shon G”. He also had a weekly slot show from 6-9 pm called “Da G. Spot”. He currently is holding down a variety of hot and record breaking mixshows with a explosion of flava from beginning to end worldwide over internet reppin Dem Durty Bumz Tha BumSquadDjz & “Bumsquadradio” ,m spot Sprintpcs & Every Tuesday 10am (pst)/12noon(cst)/1pm (EST) on Thursday at 4 pm.
