Material Sound

Material Sound specialize in reggae, hiphop, R&B, Soul from 1970s to present. Material Sound was formed in 2000 after Massive D and Shortman were doing parties together. Spanglas came up with the name for the group and joined the sound in 2002. Massive D then started to build the speakers for the sound while shortman handled the business side of the sound. Its Now 2011 and Material Sound Is the fastest growing sound in Rochester, New York. Material Sound now has their own nights at club NV located at 123 Liberty Poleway and The Venu Resto Lounge. Very often big events arise where the sound plays out at venues such as the Auditorium and the Armory located in the downtown area of Rochester. These venues can accompany a population of up to 5000 people. Material Sound is not only a group of DJ's, but also a system that can be rented for touring purposes of many occassions.
