Evan Preston is a local DJ under the name "DJ Purp". "Purp" came from a childhood name when he was nicknamed "Purplehead" by a basketball coach because of Preston's unique red hair. DJ-ing started as a hobby, but quickly turned into much more as he was hired to do formals, birthdays, college parties, and DJ-ing at local Bars in downtown Richmond, KY.
