Art has been a passion of mine my whole life. As a child I watched my father paint lavish landscapes on canvas, often taking months to finish his latest piece. It is no suprise that I picked up my first paintbrush and began to create with the support of family fully devoted to this kind of self expression. In making art you need to give yourself room to respond authentically, both to your subject matter and to your materials. Art happens between you and something... a subject, an idea, a technique.... and both you and that something needs to be free to move. Photography enables me to move.
