For anyone looking for a review, my husband and I hired Gretchen of All Events DJ to DJ our wedding out in Grayslake, IL, and this was probably the best decision we made for the whole event. Everything went off seamlessly, especially considering we were having it at a venue where I had to hire all vendors (food, drinks, bartenders, music, etc.) from outside places; they didn't come with the venue. So one can imagine I was a little neurotic and panicked about not knowing what to do when and not knowing how to transition from thing to thing. She came and tied the whole thing together and kept it moving as it should go. What a relief! From the first time I talked with her on the phone about what I was looking for, I knew we had found the best DJ for us. Mainly, I usually hate the normal set DJs play at weddings and theyre larger than life wedding personas. But she's so not one of those obnoxious DJs who has to be in the spotlight the whole night. She listened to everything we wanted, she put it together beautifully and she stayed part of the behind-the-scenes stuff rather than trying to be the show itself. We were so pleased with her work. She kept our dance floor absolutely packed all night. I've never had such a good time dancing to excellent music all night, I think, in my life. Which, you know, is a great thing to have at your wedding when you want it to be memorable. My best memories of our wedding is dancing with my husband, friends, and family all night long. In fact, my only possible complaint could be that I could hardly sit down and catch my breath during songs I didn't want to dance to, since I pretty much wanted to dance to every song she played. Awesome service. Highly recommended.

Gretchen was so wonderful to work with, customized our play list to our "more mature" crowd, kept the dance floor hopping but kept the volume in the hall down enough so that party goers of this reunion of sorts could still talk to each other- striking a very difficult balance. I would definitely use her again and recommend her without hesitation.

They played a great variety of music for us. We had a wide age range of guests and at some point throughout the night everyone got out on the dance floor.

Gretchen was absolutely amazing at contributing to the atmosphere and the overall magical feeling of the evening. Her ability to keep with the 1940's theme we created was superb! Her professionalism was outstanding and we enjoyed every step of the process of working with her. There aren't enough stars to rate you. Thanks a million, Gretchen.

They played exactly the type of music that we wanted. It was like they read our minds. We got many compliments. We started off with 70s and 80s music and they played favorites and not just the number 1s, but 1hit wonders as well. They took a lot of time with us before the event and people danced to the very end! I also liked their compact Bose speakers since we had limited space.

Gretchen was great to work with ad very professional. She answered all of my questions and made sure that everything I needed from the DJ was taken care off. I would definitely recommend All Events DJ Service to anyone planning a reception.

We had All Events DJ for our wedding reception. They were GREAT!!! Gretchen had about 50 people on the dance floor until the very end of the night. It was nonstop fun and she knew exactly what to play. She MADE out reception! She played everything that we asked for and she was able to do any changes in the middle of everything. WELL WORTH THE MONEY!!!!

All Events DJ Service was 100% focused on making our wedding day everything we wanted it to be. They were able to address all of our requests and worked with us to customize our reception to be everything we wanted it to be.

From the first time I encountered Gretchen, I knew that I would be pleased working with her. She embraced my vision and offered insight and suggestions wherever and whenever needed. Throughout the months of planning she remained communicative, responsive and flexible. On the day, she was on time, prepared, pleasant, helpful and so much fun!

Gretchen and her assistant were fantastic. We were in touch several times over the phone and via email to plan our wedding since we did not live locally to meet with them face to face. They really made this easier than we could've imagined! Their references gave them great reviews and we do too. We got great feedback from our guests would recommend them in a heartbeat!

Our booking was last minute due to cancellation by our previous DJ and she was prompt and accommodating to our last minute needs. She was on time, played the perfect mix of songs based on a small list we gave her to work from. She provided some ideas to help us finalize our plans and she definitely understood the overall feel we wanted for our event.

People were out on the dance floor all night, despite the fact that the Bears v. Packers game was on (and we're HUGE Bears fans!!) The song selection was perfect and she followed our every request. I will be sure to recommend Gretchen to everyone we know!!

We truly had a wonderful time at our wedding, and not having to worry about the DJ was a big part of it. We trusted her to do a great job and she did. She played everything we asked her too, and respected our requests to not play certain songs. They were a pleasure to work with.
