Colby McLemore is a Knoxville-based professional photographer whose award-winning work revolves around commercial, portrait, and wedding photography. His commercial work covers architectural, product, food, industrial, and corporate event photography. His portraits include executive, staff, family, high-school senior, childrens, and newborn photography. He photographs local and regional weddings and is also available for destination weddings. He works both on location as well as in his downtown Knoxville studio.
Colbys images have graced national as well as regional and local magazines and newspapers, corporate websites, brochures and annual reports, various print and digital ads, books, and now even a smartphone app! Colby has also photographed for TV shows, celebrities, and government officials and politicians.
Colby has worked with clients such as USA Today, ABC's Extreme Makeover, The Learning Channel's 18 Kids and Counting (he even appeared in at least two of the episodes), the Pigeon Forge Department of Tourism, WonderWorks, Hollywood Wax Museum, Webb School of Knoxville, Bohan Marketing, A3 Creative Group, Marketing Dimensions, At Large Graphic Design, Atmosphere Pictures, Globe-Pequot Press, Family Fun, Primary Color, Points North, Cityview, Knoxville Magazine, and many others.
Colby is the president of the Professional Photographers of East Tennessee (PPETN). He teaches food photography, architectural photography, portrait retouching, and many other topics at the University of Tennessees Photography Certificate Program. He is also an Adobe Certified Expert (ACE).
In 2012, Colby was awarded the Knoxville News Sentinels Readers Choice favorite award and Cityviews Best Commercial, Best Portrait, and Best Wedding Photographer awards. In 2011, he was named Photographer of the Year by both Tennessees Professional Photographer Association (TNPPA) and PPETN. In the same year, Colby was also awarded the Kodak Gallery Award and the Presidential Award, among many awards.
