Philip is a Texas treasure provided to us from across the pond. He came highly recommended from our wedding coordinator and the proof was not only the amazing final photos, but also in his intoxicating personality. We wanted photographs that were of excellent quality and had a journalistic feel. We wanted to capture real moments rather than forced, fake poses. Philip was the perfect choice for us, having years of experience as a photojournalist. He was able to take stunning pictures of all the necessary traditional wedding shots, but he really shined in the unique and intimate shots he captured using his journalistic eye. Philip is the kind of photographer you never forget. Ok so we talked about his skills, those are solid. Now we need to talk about the man himself. He was so wonderful to work with. He is kind, funny, and made us feel so at ease with every aspect of the process. We had many of our guests and family members tell us how great he was - charming and friendly - never interrupting but always somehow there capturing that special moment you are having. And spoiler alert, he has an accent that all the ladies will swoon when they hear. :) Ok ladies, he is exceptionally skilled at photography, he is handsome and charming, is there anything else you need? Well if there is, he has it. Book with him as soon as you can to lock in your date. He was worth every penny!

Philip is amazing! It was super important to me to not have engagement photos that look like every other engagement photo of a couple you see on social media, save the dates, etc. I really loved that Philip's work is centered around documentary style photography, but also, he pays close attention to the background and using geometry in your backdrops to make your photos really stand out. My fiancé and I could not be happier with how our photos turned out. We were a bit nervous at first because we are not people who like to be the center of attention; however Philip made us feel super comfortable and at home the entire time. We had a blast during the shoot!! I cannot recommend him enough! :)

Hiring Philip was, by far, the best decision we made for our wedding. My husband and I had a tight budget and Philip went above and beyond to create a custom package that could meet our needs. Halfway through the planning process, when it became clear we would like Philip to stay longer to capture the whole day, he graciously offered to come in earlier and stay later as well. This was a huge blessing to us and we are forever grateful for this gift. As to his professionalism, Philip was the most professional and seasoned member of our vendor team. He (and his wonderful second shooter) was everywhere, and nowhere, snapping candid moments that I could have sworn I did not see him capture. I am not the best “poser,” but he helped me look like a supermodel in my bridal photos. All you have to do as a client is trust and take his advice – ignore him, and he will take care of the rest. Also, the speed with which he moved through family photos was well-appreciated, and his ability to find the perfect shooting locations on the fly showed how much of an artist he was. He was clear in his client communications and contracts, and he was okay with me changing around picture requests in the week before the wedding. He even helped my little brother with his tie! I really cannot say enough about Philip, but I guess I have to stop somewhere. He truly has a gift and the pictures he captured for us are priceless. Thank you, Philip!

From the get-go Philip was professional, organizing online calls to get to know each other and discuss the day. When it came to the wedding, he not only captured the day beautifully, but he also made the whole experience enjoyable. His photojournalistic style was perfect for us as it allowed us to engage with each other and our guests naturally, especially since we were not the most comfortable in front of a camera. When we did the first look and other more styled shots, his direction was helpful and his demeanor light-hearted allowing us to be ourselves and enjoy our special day. On top of the experience, the photos were stunning! We are over the moon about the finished product and highly recommend Philip for any event.

Philip Thomas just sent the sneak peak of our daughter's wedding photos this week and I'm obsessed! It's the way that he and his team capture the raw, beautiful emotions of the day in a way that's never intrusive that's so magical. You can almost forget that they're around which allows everyone to just be themselves. This is his secret sauce and what makes him the best! Philip does not "photograph" your wedding. He tells the story of your wedding through his lens - and what you get is a beautiful, honest, detailed history of your day. As I'm reliving their wedding through his prism I am not only floored with how gorgeous the photos are but I'm so grateful to have the moments and emotions preserved forever by such a talented hand. Everyone who has seen the "sneak peak" photos thinks they're amazing! If you want the most gorgeous, truly documented wedding memories Philip Thomas is your guy. And Bonus: he's the nicest person and truly a dream to work with. Plus there's that amazing British accent! Double Bonus: his second shooter Adam was a dream too. My first word is “Wow!” Philip photographed my son and new daughter for their wedding at the end of December in Texas. The wedding was conducted on the courthouse steps with immediate family present. The wedding celebration took place at an indoor/outdoor space under spreading oak trees with a beautiful sun peaking through, leading to a star filled night. Philip was everywhere. He met us at the courthouse and seemed to be there before us at the celebration venue. His style of photography perfectly matched our vision of documenting the event without overtaking the event. He seamlessly captured images of pure joy and love without us even knowing he was there. His instinct seemed to lead him to just the right spot where a special embrace, glance, or serious dance move was happening. The wedding took place at 2:00 pm and the celebration closed down around midnight. Philip was there graciously taking every precious picture, even up to the get away car, that now allows all attending to remember and re-celebrate the occasion. His pictures are pure artistry. He did take the standard photographs of our family as we requested But these photographs were not “standard.” They were finely captured portraits. And because he so quietly documented the wedding, the portraits are fresh and alive. You can see the affection and the energy in the eyes of the ones in the picture. After about six weeks, the files arrived and now I get to try and sort through to determine which ones go in the wedding album. That will take some time because so many are perfection. I could not be happier with Philip’s capture of my son and daughter in law’s wedding.
